Justin Bieber sings N-word, jokes about Klu Klux Klan in old video
Yet another video has surfaced showing teen idol Justin Bieber using the N-word.
In the newly released footage, posted by TMZ, a 14-year-old Bieber sings a parody of his song “One Less Lonely Girl,” in which he replaces the word "girl" with the N-word.
“If I kill you/ I’ll be part of the KKK,” he sings into the camera while smiling. “There’ll be one less lonely n-----.”
According to TMZ, Bieber created the video to parody a comedian’s take on his hit song, in which the comedian swapped the word girl for the N-word.
Earlier this week, another video emerged, which showed Bieber, 15 at the time, telling a racist joke.
On Monday, he issued a statement apologizing.
"I'm very sorry. I take all my friendships with people of all cultures very seriously and I apologize for offending or hurting anyone with my childish and inexcusable behavior," Bieber said.
"I thought it was OK to repeat hurtful words and jokes, but I didn't realize at the time that it wasn't funny and that in fact my actions were continuing the ignorance," the statement said. "Thanks to friends and family I learned from my mistakes and grew up and apologized for those wrongs. Now that these mistakes from the past have become public I need to apologize again to all of those who I have offended."
It's the latest controversy for Bieber, who over the past couple of years has dealt with brushes with the law and other problems that have dealt a blow to his once wholesome image. The videos were taken when Bieber was just emerging as a pop sensation.
